According to research conducted by Cetic.br, around 79% of Brazilian children and teenagers from 9 to 17 years old had active profiles in social networks in 2013.

The number of accounts has risen from the 70% registered in 2012, a curious fact considering social networks usually don’t allow users younger than 13 years to be registered.
